spring progress

by ambedas

We’ve been transplanting and moving forward with our early season planting here on the roof. In honor of May Day, here’s another set of glimpses from the garden. We transplanted lettuces, spinach, mustards, and kale this week, and did some major weeding. Another round of seeds started indoors.

uncovering the roof

by ambedas

Yesterday we opened up the hoop houses on the roofgarden and took some documenting photos. It is the beginning of March and already a bevy of plants are rearing and ready to go; lots of medicinal herbs, winter greens, and more.

Growing green already are valerian, motherwort, mugwort, yarrow, gil-over-the-ground, spinach, kales, cabbages, beets, parsley, thyme, wheatgrass, onions, garlic, flax, & strawberries.

I will make an attempt to photo-document the progress of the roof and of the EA co-op throughout this season.
